Development Outcomes

Integrating the Evolve Development Tracker (EDT) into your provision is a straight forward process that has demonstrable impact in the folllowing areas:

Wellbeing

Waiting for pupils to fall behind in their learning and development, or exhibit mental health conditions, and/or conduct disorder is not

The Wellbeing Compass survey assesses and tracks pupil progress against the following six domains that contribute to positive health and and wellbeing:

  • Sleep
  • Physical Activity
  • Diet and Nutrition
  • Emotional Wellbeing
  • Personal Development
  • Self Efficacy

Self Efficacy

A young person’s profile and demographics do not determine their learning and development outcomes. Their self efficacy is an important mediating factor.

A short self efficacy assessment is included as one of the domains within the Wellbeing Compass survey. However, using the New General Self Efficacy Scale provides a deeper insight with eight questions that highlight valuable development areas.

Mental Health

Understanding how the mental health of your pupils compares to national and international norms provides important context for individual and universal interventions.

The EDT includes validated surveys for pupils in each key stage:

  • KS1/2 – The Stirling Scale (15 questions)
  • KS3/4 – The Warwick-Edinburgh Mental Wellbeing Scale (14 questions)

Pupil Performance

Successful learning and development is more than just making academic progress.

The five question Pupil Performance survey that teaches complete for each pupil paints a holistic picture of their educational development opportunities, progress made, and outcomes achieved.

Classroom Climate

The behaviour and performance of pupils within classrooms influences teaching and learning outcomes.

The short five-question Classroom Climate survey allows teachers to quickly report on the conduciveness of their learning environment. More importantly, it allows school leader to target their support where it is most needed and track the effectiveness of these interventions.

Relationship Quality

Teachers with good relationships with their pupils lead to better classroom management, improved learning environments, a sense of belonging, greater motivation and learner engagement.

This EDT survey allows pupils to provide feedback about relationships with their teachers so that this area of their practice may be developed. There is also an additional Relationship Quality survey for mentees to provide feedback about their mentor for those pupils who are enrolled in additional support programmes.

Any combination of the above surveys can be added to create custom profiles of pupils in your school or educational provision. You can also determine the frequency of surveys to align with your specific needs and annual planning cycle.

Impact Tracking

The EDT also allows schools to track the impact of interventions by comparing the progress of pupils with matched-peers who are not accessing additional support.

This reporting data is far more reliable than tracking pupil progress against outcomes in the absence of a demographically matched control group.
